I was fortunate enough to be asked to make the soundtrack for @GoogleDoodles “Doodle Champion Island Games”!
The game has 7 sports mini games with opponents based on Japanese folklore characters, and you can play it on the Google homepage while it’s up, or at if you missed it ^^

The soundtrack itself is mostly 16-bit inspired, with more of my own style mixed in for the music during the animated cutscenes c;
I’m not able to officially publish the soundtrack, but I was specifically allowed to upload the entirety of the soundtrack to my YouTube channel, so consider this the official version of the OST ;D
I’ve been incredibly excited to share this with everyone, and I really hope people will like it! ^^

I remember when I first found qumu and this other person who also makes video game remix’s and some official pieces of music named NoteBlock and I wondered if they would ever make a remix together because they both make really good remix’s of video game music

You somehow captured the exact feeling of retro anime game music, I don't know how to explain it but I'll be listening to this got a good while
The ending score was really moving, it's like you've been in the game for a long time, and everyone is celebrating before your departure. Plus the cherry blossoms? Wonderfully made.
This seriously gives off a sincere "Zelda item get" vibe at the beginning.

I came here after playing the game for 2 hours, winning all the sports, collecting all the trophies and exploring the entire world. It's super amazing for you to have created music for Google and such a fantastic (in my opinion the BEST) Google Doodle (ever)!!!! The music suited the art and game so much, it made me feel so joyous and nostalgic throughout the entire experience! Your work is very inspiring and you should be very proud of yourself.
